Mary Catherine (Grant) Gillin, of Baden, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2022 at the age of 69.

She was born on August 31, 1952, in Rochester to the late Frank and Laura Grant.

Mary enjoyed reading books and was an avid Steelers fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gillin; a daughter, Jamie Gillin; and a brother, Frank Grant.

Mary leaves behind her son, John (Tracy) Gillin; her brothers, Lawrence (Beverly) and Timothy (April) Grant; her sisters, Viola (Ben) Jezovnik, Laurie Grant, and Antoinette (Thomas) Mosholder; grandchildren, Matthew and Damien Riffle, Natalee, Brooklynn, and John Gillin; and a great-grandson, Levi Riffle-Young.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held.  A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the ALS Association, Western PA Chapter, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15209.

A special thanks to Beverly and Larry Grant for their care and compassion shown to our sister during her struggle with ALS.  Their competence and kindness enabled Mary's wishes to remain at home throughout her illness.
