Mary Jane Kelvington Glaab

Formerly of Beaver

Mary Jane Glaab, 90, of North Sewickley Twp., a former longtime resident of Beaver, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, in Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.

She was born March 18, 1926, in Bridgewater, and was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mary Burk Kelvington. She had worked at the Wooden Angel in Bridgewater, was a member of the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church, where she was a Deacon, Elder and member of the Women’s Circle, was a member of the BPOE #283 Ladies Auxiliary, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Croatian Club in New Brighton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. “”Buck”” Glaab; sisters-in-law, Ruth Detweiler and Winifred Sprankle and Charles “”Pecky”” Burk, whom she considered as a brother.

Surviving are her children: John T. (Laurie) Glaab, New Brighton; Thomas L. Glaab, Beaver; Patrick J. Glaab, North Sewickley Twp., and Donna R. Glaab, New Brighton; grandchildren, Stacey (Frank) Marrazo, OK; John L. Glaab, AL and Matthew L. (Kristen) Glaab, New Brighton; great-grandchildren, Vincent Johnke, OK; John Michael Glaab, AL; Gabriella Glaab, AL and Addison Glaab, New Brighton.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in the TODD FUNERAL HOME, 340 Third Street, Beaver, and a funeral service will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church, Bridge Street in Bridgewater by her pastor, Dr. William H. Silver. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

The family suggests contributions may be made, if desired, to the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church
