Obituary

Mary Lou Guthrie, 75, of East Palestine, Ohio died on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
Born on March 23, 1946, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Irvin “Dale” and Elizabeth (Hollander) Anderson.
A 1964 graduated of New Brighton H.S., Mary Lou continued her education achieving an associates in business.  Mary Lou had a 40+ year career at Michael Baker International Inc. 
In retirement, Mary Lou was an avid reader who loved spending time next to her husband, Tom, while reading many different books.  She was a faithful member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, New Brighton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Guthrie, only two days prior; and her sister, Dr. Joan Gailey.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauren (Joe) Guthrie-Tweddell; her grandson, Evan; her sister, Patti (Bob) Dominici; her beloved dog, Rusty; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.  The family respectfully asks that those in attendance please use a face mask or covering.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Inurnment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Lou’s name to the East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N Market St., East Palestine, OH 44413.
