Obituary

Mary Lou (Daquila) Schollaert, 81, of Chippewa Twp., passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Allegheny General Hospital.

Born November 2, 1938 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Phyllis Daquila-Manta, and step-daughter to the late Carl Manta. Mary Lou lived her life serving others.  She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Medical Center-Beaver until her retirement.  A member of St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, she was active in the Christian Mothers.  She was also a member of the Chippewa Lions Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, A. Ronald Schollaert; her children, Lisa and Dr. C. Timothy Lipp of Patterson Twp., Phyllis and Jeff Hildebrand of Chippewa Twp., Michael Schollaert of Clover, SC and Joe and Wendy Schollaert of Medina, OH; 11 grandchildren, Lauren (Paul) Batt, Dr. Timothy (Jennifer) Lipp, Jaclyn (Jeff) Jones, Charles Lipp and his fiancé Becky Bailey, Brian Schollaert and his fiancé Jessica Small, Mary (Brian) Alviani, Zachary Hildebrand and his fiancé Taylor Telesz, Andrew Schollaert, Nathan Schollaert, Megan Schollaert, and Analise Hildebrand; 2 great-grandchildren, Leo Alviani and Eliana Batt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Daquila; and a sister, Frances Duffy.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 12pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home-117 Blackhawk Rd. Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com where prayers will be held on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a family mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Monica’s.   Father Bill Schwartz will officiate.  A rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7pm at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
