Mary Louise "Mary Lou" (Senn) Karnis, 95, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab.

Born February 13, 1927 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Dorothy Slattery Senn.  Mary Lou was a member of St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church (the former St. Philomena's) where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Christian Mothers, sang in the choir, was a CCD teacher, and was a past president of the Parent Teacher Guild at St. Philomena's school.  Mary Lou was a member of the College Hill Women's Club.  She was an avid gardener and loved flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Karnis.

She is survived by a son, Richard Karnis and his wife Robertina; three daughters, Christine Rittelmann, Janet Berger and her husband David, and Lisa Karnis and her significant other Joseph F. Niglio; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Julia, David, Matthew, Richie, Erin and Jonathan; and seven great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ashton, Brooke, Dominick, Lucca, Michael and Theodore.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3pm-7pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp.  A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:30pm.  On Friday, prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by as mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church- 116 Thorndale Road, Beaver Falls PA 15010.  Fr. Kim Schreck will officiate.

Private interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
