Mary Lou Usselman, 85, of New Brighton, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Providence Care Center.

Born November 17, 1937 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabell (Wilson) Lockrouit.  Mary Lou was a member of the Freedom Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.   She was a loving wife and mother, and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, John Usselman; her step-daughter, Karen (Wayne) Souffrant; and two brothers Thomas Lockrouit and James (Gail) Yahn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul R. Schaffer, Jr. and Randy Schaffer.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME- 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton-www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes. where a service will be held on Monday at 10am. Rev. Lee Bittner will officiate.

Private interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Providence Care Center, especially Sandy, Paula and Veronica, and Shar from Grane Hospice for all of the loving care they gave to Mary Lou.
