Melva J. Magness, 87, of Chippewa Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born on June 13, 1938, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late John and Sara (Pickard-Zimmer) Pashuta.

Melva spent her life as a homemaker and was a former member of Christian Assembly Church, Ohioville, and was most recently attending Life Family Church, New Brighton.  She loved Bible studies with church family and friends as well as her monthly dinner and lunch dates with classmates.  Melva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished precious moments spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Magness; and a son, Kurt Magness.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Granati and Brad Magness; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Magness; a grandson, Jules (Alyssa) Granati; and two great-grandchildren, Giulio and Angelo; as well as numerous extended family members, and friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday, March 1st from 1PM until 5PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Township, 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2nd at 11AM at Life Family Church, 1810 Valley Ave., New Brighton, PA 15066 with Pastor Sam Demarco officiating.  Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to services.
