Melvin Hogsett

formerly of Brighton Township

Melvin Hogsett, 89, formerly of Brighton Township passed away on the morning of May 4th, 2018.  He was born on February 15, 1929 in Beaver, Pa. Mel is survived by Eleanor Hogsett, his wife of 67 years, son Jim Hogsett, daughter-in-law Diane Hogsett, and grandsons David and Stephen Hogsett. Preceding him in death were his brother Homer Hogsett and two sisters Florence Day and Isabelle Steel.  Mel was a great and loving man who was respected and loved by many.  He had served his country in the Korean War and was a member of the Odd Fellows, Masons, and an elder at every church he attended. He had worked at ARCO for 38 years before retiring as a lab manager. There will be a memorial service at the First Christian Church, Iroquois Place and Otter Lane in Beaver Pa. on May 27th from 1-3 PM.
