Michael Jay Slater
Ambridge
Michael Jay Slater, 55, of Ambridge passed away Wednesday January 3 in Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born June 28, 1962 in Rochester and was the son of the late Richard Francis and Audrey Eleanor Douglas Slater. Michael grew up in Center Twp., Pa. As a young adult he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he worked on yachts. He was a brilliant man who loved to read Tom Clancey, Carl Hiaason and anything on world history. He will always be remembered for his odd sense of humor and the capability to make you laugh. Michael had served in the National Guard. He is survived by his siblings, Dolly Roeder, Tina (Buzz) Graff, Richard (Kathy) Slater, Cindy (George) Tesnovich and Susan Slater, nieces and nephews, Audrey, Scott, Suni, Fred, Amy, Joshua, T.J., Sara, Caleb, Katherine and Chloe and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. A small private family gathering will take place to remember and honor Michael’s life. The Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver was entrusted with the arrangements.
