Michael A. Montgomery, 33, of Aurora Ohio, formerly of South Beaver Twp., died on Sunday, May 7, 2017.Born February 15, 1984, in Beaver, he was the son of Eugene R. Montgomery and Judith Evans Drobotij.Michael was a 2002 graduate of Blackhawk High School. Michael attended Kent State University where he majored in Aeronautical Engineering, making the President’s List in the fall semester. Michael was also a member of the Kent State Flight Team. He was employed at the Beaver County Airport for Prospect. Michael had his solo pilot license and dreamed of being a pilot. In addition to flying, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and cooking.In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by Gene Montgomery, Florida; Raquel Montgomery, Florida; Cheryl (David) Montgomery Brick, Colo., and Julie (Nik) Halaszi, Ohio; three nieces and five nephews.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., gabauerfamily funeralhomes.com, where a service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Reverend Lee Bittner will officiate.Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, 339 Salem Church Road, Midland, PA 15059.If you wish, the family asks that contributions be made to the Kent State University Foundation/ Flight Team, 800 E.
