Obituary

Mildred E. (Schuster) Baumgard, 93, of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021 at Celebration Villa of Chippewa.

Born on March 28, 1928 in Millvale, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Boeringer) Schuster.

Millie was an executive secretary for the Beaver County Housing Authority for many years.  She was a faithful member of St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Lady’s Guild.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Baumgard on September 11, 2013; her brothers, John, Fr. Herb, Chuck, Larry, Ray, Joe, and Vince Schuster; and her sister, Hilda Pappert.

She is survived by her son, John (Cathy) Baumgard; grandchildren, Jaimie Faulk and Aaron Freed; great-grandchildren, Sierra and Braden Faulk; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.  Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church with Fr. John Naugle as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mildred’s name to Transitions Hospice, 200 Cedar Ridge Dr. Suite 201, Crafton, PA 15205.

  1. Millie Baumgard was a lady I was blessed to know almost all my life. Her priorities were faith, family and friends. She was like a sister to my Mom and hence became “Aunt Millie”. She was a joy to be around and I am thankful she was in my life.
    John, you really had a great Mom and know you have many great memories to keep her alive in your heart.

  3. I am saddened to learn of your mothers death. She always greeted me with a smile at Celebration Villa. She was such a sweet woman. I loved seeing her playing cards and making the best of life.
