Obituary

Myrle Elaine (Gibson) Veiock, 80, of Darlington, PA., went to be with our Lord on June 25, 2016.She was born April 22, 1936, in Beaver Falls, to the late Merle Ellsworth and Clara Mae (Hendrinks) Gibson. She grew up in the New Brighton area.Myrle was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother. She loved when family got together for special events, Especially Christmas Eve. She loved taking care of her grandchildren; it always brought her great happiness. She had many lifelong friends from childhood. She especially liked going to her monthly card club meetings and in the past her weekly bowling league. She loved going camping with her family in the mountains at Tionesta, PA.Myrle has worked at the Elmcrest and Blair Nursing Homes and the K-mart in Chippewa. She is a part leader of the Darlington Brownies Troop 116. She had been a volunteer at the Medical Center and the Women’s Center of Beaver County. She was a former member of the First United Presbyterian Women’s Association and the Lioness Club of Little Beaver. She was an Elder of the First United Presbyterian Church of Darlington, PA.In addition to her parents, Myrle is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Veiock Sr.; and sister, Donna Jeanne (Gibson) Vosler.She is survived by her children, Msgt (Ret) Charles Edward Veiock Jr., Nancy J. Veiock, Cheryl E. and Thomas O’Neill, Cathy L. Veiock, and Harry “Scott” and Pam Veiock; grandchildren, Michael S. Veiock, Nicole E. O’Neill, Curtis S. Veiock, Thomas C. O’Neill, Zackery T. Davis, Brandon J. and Chad A. Veiock; great-granddaughter, Alexis A. Veiock; and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at Saturday, July 9th at the First United Presbyterian Church of Darlington, 3385 Old Darlington Road, Darlington, PA 16115. Reverard C.F. Hoffman will officiate. A visitation with the family will be conducted from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am.A private interment will take place at Seceder Cemetery, South Beaver Township.Flowers may be sent to the church on Friday July 8th from 1 to 4pm.
