Obituary

Nancy Edith  Ewing Rowe, 81, of Industry, PA walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2020 at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana, Ohio.

Mrs. Rowe was born to the late Alvin and Hulda Ewing, July 2, 1938 in West Finley, PA, and was one of 8 children.  She attended California State Teachers College in California, PA where she met her husband of 50 years,  Daniel G Rowe.  Together they lived and made their family in Industry, PA,  both teaching in and retiring from the Western Beaver School System.  One of Nancy’s loves was teaching first grade, and  working with children in general.  She was a member of the Western Beaver School Board for 8 years, serving 3 years as President.  The First Christian Church in Beaver, PA was her life and over the years she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Leader, Deaconess, and  Bible School Director.  Nancy read her Bible every day and was always fascinated by learning  new things from it  no matter how many times she had read it in its entirety.

Above all, her biggest passion in life was family.  She loved being a Mom to her children and Grammy to her grand-children.  They were the apples of her eye, and there was nothing she wouldn”t do for any of them.  Nancy was a wonderful homemaker and tremendous baker, making the world’s best chocolate chip cookies.  Truly, she was the epitome of what a Mom is to her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Daniel G Rowe.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and  Hulda Ewing, 3 brothers, Glen Ewing,  Wade Ewing, and Neale Ewing, and 2 sisters, Lois Pappas, and Joan Lennox.

Surviving are Nancy’s children, daughter Tara and (William) Price of Industry, PA, and son Andrew Rowe of Industry, PA, and also Nancy’s grandchildren, Mia Burris of Cincinnati, OH, Noah Burris of Industry, PA and Patrick Price currently serving in the United States Navy.  Lastly, Nancy has 2 surviving siblings,  Connie Jenkins of Claysville, PA, and Barry Ewing of Rogersville, PA.  Nancy has countless other surviving family members, sisters and brothers in law, and many nieces and nephews all of whom she dearly loved.

Due to the current COVID-19 virus, the family will have a private viewing and service conducted by reverend Robbie Manypenny of The First Christian Church in Beaver, PA on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Todd Funeral Home in Beaver, PA 15009.  Nancy will be laid to rest in the Beaver Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to honor Nancy’s memory is welcome to donate monetarily to The First Christian Church 370 Iroquois Place in Beaver, PA in her name.
