Obituary
Nora Jean Barber, 64, of Monaca, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
Born October 18, 1958 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Stork) Barber. Nora was a 1976 graduate of Center Area High School. She began her career in 1986 working for the Beaver County Department of Public Works. From there, she moved to the Clerk of Courts office and later held the position of secretary to Court Administrator, Joseph Cabraja. During her tenure at the Beaver County Courthouse, she held the prestigious position of secretary to President Judge Robert C. Reed and then President Judge Robert E. Kunselman. For the last 17 years, Nora served as secretary to Judge Deborah Kunselman. She transitioned with Judge Kunselman to the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2018. Judge Debbie highly regarded Nora’s proofreading and shorthand skills and thought of her as a sister. Nora loved to play bingo with her good friend Rhonda and enjoyed tending to the many plants and flowers that landscaped her home.
She is survived by her cherished daughter and best friend, Phyllis Chirichetti; her loving companion of 37 years, Eric Goodwald; four sisters, Mary Ann Morgan, Betty Bick, Valerie (Bob) Saucerman and Trudy (John) Barton; a brother, James Barber and his significant other Cindy Wetzel; a cherished niece, Avalon Davis; numerous other nieces and nephews; and very special friend, George Zilk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Barber; and her former spouse, Gerald J. Chirichetti.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Eric, Phyllis and family,
My sincere condolences and prayers at this difficult time.
Nora was a bright light in the halls of the Court House and in so many lives. Her smile and hugs always made my day. She was a sister in Christ to me and many others; we are all grieving the loss, but know her smile shines bright and her laughter rings through Heaven! I so look forward to seeing her again and and getting another cherished hug. Thank you Jesus!
