Obituary

Norma Jean Narad, 92, of Patterson Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Born on October 21, 1931, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Emma (Graham) Hahn.

Norma worked as a telephone operator for a brief period following high school graduation and had later owned and operated her own beauty salon.  She enjoyed reading a good book and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Narad, and her brother, Howard Hahn.

Norma is survived by her sons, Jay Narad and Craig (Lisa) Narad; grandchildren, JD (Melissa) Narad, Mark (Beth) Narad, Brad (Candy) Narad, Steve (Noelle) Narad, Jessica (Brandon) Franer, and Brittany Franer; 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 27^th from 2PM until the time of services at 6PM in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton.

Jay and Craig wish to extend a special “Thank You” to Craig’s wife, Lisa, for her compassion and loving care she showed toward Norma.
