Obituary

Norman Charles Kittner, 91, of Chippewa Township, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Manor on Sunday, July 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 4, 1931, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Emil and Margaret Casciato Kittner.

Norman was a 1949 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and went on to retire from Babcock & Wilcox Company.  He was a talented carpenter and gifted builder. He was a member of St. Augustine Parish, the New Galilee LMBA Club, VFW Post 8106 and Koppel IMBS.  Norman was an all-American Patriot for the United States Army. He fought in Korea during the Korean War. He was a passionate Penn State fan and loved his home, garden, golf, winemaking, and above all his family.

Norman is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Marie Franchi Kittner; his daughters, Lisa Kittner, Norma Lynn and Edwin Cheek, and Natalie and Jeff Androla; grandchildren, Michael and Kendra Wylie, Matthew Wylie and his fiancée Cara Morgan, Mark and Carly Wylie, Jeffrey and Sarah Androla, and Johnny and Kristen Androla; great-grandchildren, Bronson, Olivia, and Luca Wylie; his brother, Donald and Dolly Kittner; a sister-in-law, Jean Kittner; and brother-in-law, Ken Jenkins; nieces, nephews, and many friends and relatives. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Martin V. Hale; a brother, Albert T. Kittner; and a sister-in-law, Olga Jenkins.

The family expresses their deep appreciation for the staff at Franciscan Manor and Advanced Hospice for their constant care and support.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 7 th from 10AM until 11:30AM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp.

Prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 11:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls, PA 15010 at 12 Noon.

Committal will follow at St Mary's Cemetery Chapel.  A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held following the committal at Founders Hall of St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church at St. Augustine Parish.
