Obituary

Norman Morris Rader, 82, of West Mayfield, passed away and got called home to be with our Lord and Savior, with his beloved wife by his side, on Saturday, December 19, 2020 after battling an illness.

Born November 16, 1938 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Edward Earl and Marion Pearl (Hazen) Rader.  He worked at Heckett Engineering and J&L as a heavy machinery operator for fourteen years, and then Alexander Mill.  He was a volunteer fireman for a period of time in Ohio.  He was a hard-working, humble, honest, family man who loved people and animals.  In his younger days he liked to sing and dance while listening to country music.  He loved to ride motorcycles, camp, fish, hunt, and travel. He treasured having visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  On Sundays you could find him watching the Steelers game.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Rader; one step-son, James Seamans Jr.; two step-daughters, Lisa Seamans and Kimberly Brown; one brother, Chuck (Dorothy) Rader; one sister, Janet (Clyde) Leist; one sister-in-law, Carol Rader; two sons, Scott and Steven Rader; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Rader; two sisters, Gertrude Clemmens and Midge Guy; and four brothers, John, Richard, Donald and Bill Rader.

All services are private.

Private interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
