Oscar E. Edwards, of Chippewa Township, formerly of Ohioville Borough, passed away on September 18, 2023.

Born in Midland, PA, he was the son of the late Oscar E. Edwards and Mary Basinger Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonette Edwards; son, David E. Edwards; daughter- in-law, Loretta Edwards; grandson, Robert Coates; and his second wife, Ann Boubon Edwards.

Surviving are his son, Thomas E. Edwards, Sr. and his wife, Kathy; daughters, Mary J. Wallis, Cynthia McCoy and her husband, Dru, with whom he resided and Annette McFarland and her husband, Edward. He is also survived by grandchildren, Rhoda Ernest, Robin Marshall, David O. Edwards, Angela Zubroski, Jennifer DiMiceli, Heather Bell, Brian Wilson, Thomas E. Edwards, Jr., Eric Carothers, Ann Marie Dobronz, Samuel McFarland, Ashley Ostrom, Chelsea Johnston; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Dad never missed sending a card for birthdays, anniversaries, milestone events and celebrations. He lived life fully and with no regrets, never hesitating to say exactly what was on his mind. We are better because of his guidance, brutal honesty and love.

We as a family have the deepest gratitude for all the love, the courage, the laughter, and the wisdom of a lifetime. Dad lives in the hearts of those who loved him.

We are heartbroken by his passing but confident that he will continue to be our advocate and his love for us will never die.

Friends will be received on Friday from 10am until the time of service at 12pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp.  Pastor Tai Courtemanche is serving as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
