Patricia Rachel Johnston, 86, of Conway, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 in Heritage Valley-Beaver.

Born September 24, 1936 in Center Township, she was the daughter of Robert and Rachel (Schuntz) Reese.  Her family lost a loving mother and matriarch to three generations.  She was cherished by all who knew her, and especially by those she was such an integral part of raising. They are all so incredibly fortunate to have had her to nurture them and bring joy and wisdom to their lives.

The family is somewhat consoled that her illness was brief, and that just two days prior to her passing she was her smiling and very busy self, doing the things she loved most – babysitting her great grandchildren and tending to her beautiful garden.  She passed as she would have chosen, peacefully and with her two sons and daughter at her side, and thankfully, she was able to say goodbye to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and beloved son-in-law.

She is survived by her children, Robert Anthony Sullivan, Sam (Lucy) Sullivan, Susan (Gregory) Sherman and Jerry Sullivan; 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) Kyle, Patrick (Sarah Hillman) Sherman and Dylan Sullivan; 2 great-grandchildren, Carter and Harper Kyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Quentin John Sullivan; and 8 beloved siblings.

In honoring Patricia's wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 12 pm at Sophia's Event Venue, 318 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis, PA 15108.  Contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the Salvation Army 414-16th Street, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
