Obituary
Philip M. Knause, 70, of Ohioville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Heritage Valley Health System – Beaver Campus.
Born on August 14, 1955, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Carl Knause and Mathilda (Smith) Stewart.
Philip retired as a Ramp Agent at Pittsburgh International Airport after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Midland Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy (Reed) Knause; children, Justin Knause, Jamie Gato, Jesse Knause, Jacquelyn “Jackie” (Nicolas) Griffin, Jordan Knause, and Jocelyn Knause; grandchildren, Jaden Gato, Jackson Gato, Julianna Gato, Tyler Griffin, and Riley Griffin; his siblings, Johnny Smith, George Knause, Robert (Debbie) Knause, and Sandy (Don) Parker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his grandson, Chase Gato; and his siblings, Carl Knause, Jr. and Dolly Kemena.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 4th from 11AM until the time of a brief celebrant service at 12PM in the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 340 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009.
In accordance with Philip’s wishes, he will be cremated following services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
