Obituary

Phyllis Marie (Debo) Holman, 83, formerly of New Brighton, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at her residence in Palm Bay, Florida.

Born in New Brighton, on May 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Evelyn Mae (Beitsch) Debo.

Phyllis was a 1960 graduate of New Brighton High School. In her younger years she found joy making ceramics. She was an avid Steelers football fan throughout her life. In her later years, Phyllis enjoyed going to the gym. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was also known to love voicing her opinion. She enjoyed her yearly trips back and forth from Florida.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Edward Henry Holman; a brother, John “Pete” (Mary Jane) Debo; and brother-in-law, James Vukich.

Phyllis is survived by her son, David (Cherina Emery) Holman; grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Cross, Tyler Holman, and Tori Holman; siblings, Janet (Robert) Kelvington and Kathryn Vukich; special friends, Tom Ballard, Mike (Peggy) Linden, Liz Browning, Mac, Debbie, Bernice, Pat, and Diana; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday July 21 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 1133 Penn Avenue New Brighton, PA 15066. A celebrant service will take place on Tuesday July 22 at 11AM in the funeral home.
