R. Andrew Why, 50, of Patterson Heights, PA, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026, at his home.

Born on June 15, 1976, in Rochester, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Patricia (Gallagher) Why.

Andrew attended RMU and spent a long and meaningful career in Energy Services.  He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Beaver Falls, and a member of the Beaver-Butler Presbytery.  He was known for being a coach for Blackhawk Basketball, Blackhawk Little Cougars, where he made lasting and meaningful impacts on the youth.

He is survived by his son, Gabriel Why; his sister, Faith (David) Zupsic; brother, Jack Kincade; special friend and mother of his son, Megan (Mark) Helsel; nieces and nephews, Noah, Cameron, Christian, Tyler, Grace, and Cassidy; a special friend, Shawn (Robyn) McCracken; as well as extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jennfier McCracken.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 21st from 2-4PM & 6-8PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Township, 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22 ^nd at 10AM at First Presbyterian Church of Beaver Falls, 1103 8th Ave, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.  Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to services.  Rev. David Oyler will officiate.

Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
