Ralph “Sonny” Tooch, Jr.

Ralph passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born March 14, 1944, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Ralph Tooch, Sr. and Mary (Kampi) Tooch. Ralph was a retired Multi-craft Technician from US Steel. He enjoyed farming, going to auctions, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Dorothy (Ammon) Tooch, sister Tammie (Tooch) Cox and sister-in-law Linda (Coe) Tooch.

Ralph is survived by his loving family. Two sons: Michael Tooch (Cheryl), Toccoa GA, Mark Tooch (Deborah), New Sewickley. Two granddaughters: Zoe and Faith Tooch, New Sewickley. Sister: Anna Mae (Gerald) Camp, Edgeworth. Two brothers: Ronald Tooch, New Brighton and Richard (Julie) Tooch New Brighton. Former wife: Janet Schier, Aliquippa.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 26 ,2023 from 12Noon until 3PM.

GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066.

As per Ralph’s wishes, a private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, if desired, to the Beaver County Humane Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
