Obituary

Raymond James Vogel, 87, of Enon Valley, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 8, 2023 in Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 1, 1935 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Dittrich) Vogel.

Ray owned and operated an appliance store, Vogel’s Service, in Enon Valley for over 50 years. He served on the Mohawk School Board from 1991-2005. Ray also enjoyed donating his time to Meals on Wheels for many years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Bessemer. Ray also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He loved his family and friends and had a very generous heart.

He is survived by his wife, Nora, of 60 years; sons, Joseph, Mark, Greg (Christine), Ray (Nancy) and Daughter, Anne (Joseph) Matsko; six grandchildren, Matthew (Jess) Vogel, Shawn Vogel, Alec Vogel, Carly Vogel, Norah Matsko and Ben Matsko; one great grandson, Harrison Vogel. Also surviving is his sister Marian McNeil and her husband, Jim from Alvin, TX and sister-in-law, Marilyn Vogel and her daughter, Cheryl Hansen, a sister-in-law Patty Andrews and her husband , Mark; two brothers-in-law, Bill Dudas (Sandy) and Tom Dudas.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp.- www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.

A private burial will take place.
