Obituary

Richard Charles “Dick” Louthan, US Army Veteran, 84, of South Beaver Township, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday surrounded by his loved ones, October 19, 2024.

Born on April 21, 1940, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (McWilliams) Louthan.

Dick retired as a quality control specialist at Babcock & Wilcox Company and had also worked for Rome Metals.  He was an original founding member of The Rev Masters car club in 1958.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Patricia (Koch) Louthan; and two brothers, John Robert and David.

He is survived by his children, David Lee (Michelle) Louthan, Gary (Deanna) Kaufman, and Jessica (Dan) Baker; grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Samantha (Cameron) Jacobs, and Caleb; one great-grandson, Alexander; one great-granddaughter Arabella; niece Jodi McGaffick; nephew Mike Conner; and a sister, Mary Susan.

In accordance with Dick’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are being planned.

The GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., was honored to assist Dick’s family during this time.

Just want to say I am sorry for your loss he was such a nice fun loving guy. Families grow up move away but is was always so nice to run into your Dad. Sending love and prayers for your loss

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Louthan was a patient of ours. I always told him that he looked like Clint Eastwood so that became his nickname in the office. He was such a nice person and in a good mood no matter what the circumstance. We need more people like him in the world.
