Obituary

Richard Dan Keener Sr., 67, passed away on the morning of December 29, 2023, at his home in Chippewa, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Audra Keener; a daughter, Terri Marie Keener; granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Keener; and sister, Rebecca Saltsman.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Georgann (Gingerella) Keener of Chippewa, PA; a son, Richard (Heather) Keener Jr. of Industry, PA.; a sister, Wanda (Mervin) Mellinger of Rogers, OH; four brothers, Henry (Leslee) Keener of Cincinnati, OH, James (Tammy) Keener of Columbian, OH, Steven (Angie) Keener of Wellsville, OH, and Robert (Jeanette) Keener of South Carolina; a granddaughter Alexis Elizabeth Keener of Industry, PA along with several nieces and nephews.

Rick was a mechanic by trade and a heavy machine operator until his retirement in 2018. He collected model trains of all different sizes along with anything he could find collectable. He enjoyed having his fish tanks and animals around and he also loved going fishing.

Arrangements are being overseen by Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home in Chippewa, Pa. Per his request there will be no services.
