Robert C.
“Bob” Padgett
Jul 18, 1948 — Aug 17, 2023
Robert C. Padgett, Sr., of Brighton Township, PA, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 17th at the age of 75. Bob was raised in Aliquippa, PA and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Geneva College and the University of Wisconsin, and also earned SPHR and SHRM certifications in Human Resources. Bob was immensely proud of his work as a Human Resources Director. He also loved learning new things, eating at diners, spending time cooking with his family – especially on Thanksgiving – and vacationing in Hilton Head, SC. Bob fought a long battle with cancer, and his family is incredibly proud of his bravery and positivity. His recent favorite accessory was a baseball cap labeled "SURVIVOR," which describes him so well. Bob is survived by his loving wife Candice; his sister Peggy Padgett of North Carolina; his children Mandy Dlugos (Dale), Robert Padgett, Jr. (Janel), Jeffrey Padgett (Jennifer); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Marguerite Padgett, and sister Patricia Wyatt. Bob made an impression on the lives of many people thanks to his outgoing personality, sense of humor and kindness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. Bob's family wishes to thank the team at the AHN Cancer Institute for their compassionate care and support, especially the nursing staff who cared for him over the last several weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the AHN Oncology Care Fund or the charity of your choice supporting cancer research.
Friends and family will be received at Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home at 117 Blackhawk Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 on Saturday, August 26th from 10am – 1pm.
