Obituary
Robert J. “Rob” Taylor, 55, of Brighton Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in the comfort of his home, following a 7-year battle with cancer.
Born on December 2, 1969, in Rochester, he was the son of Robert E. “Bob” Taylor and the late Carol (Baxter) Taylor.
Rob was a certified airline mechanic for United Airlines for nearly 29 years, most recently working at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. In his spare time, Rob thoroughly enjoyed cutting his grass and keeping the yard in pristine condition, watching Bluey with his precious granddaughter, Athena, and working on tractors with his father and best friend. He had a special love for his canine companion, Hercules “Herky”, who is known as his favorite child.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jodi (Gulbrandsen) Taylor; his children, Cody (Beth) Taylor and Ilyssa (Zac) Cogar; granddaughter, Athena; his mother-in-law, Patricia Valles; a brother-in-law, Jason Gulbrandsen; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 22nd from 5PM until the time of Committal Prayers at 8PM in the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 Third Street, Beaver.
Rob’s wishes for cremation will be honored following visitation.
His family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Rahim Remtulla as well as the nurses and staff of UPMC.

Prayers for Rob’s family. I got to work with Rob the last 2 years in Cleveland and he was a good man that will truly be missed.

Condolences to Rob’s family, I can’t imagine how much he will be missed. I met Rob at our crashpad in Chicago during his time at ORD. He was such a kind man who truly looked out for everyone who surrounded him. I know he will continue to smile as he looks down to see how many lives he touched.
