Obituary

Robert L. Weldon, 87, of Beaver, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice – Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born on September 3, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie (Johnson) Weldon.

Robert had been a computer technician for AT&T as well as Verizon for many years.  He was the past VP of the CWA Local 13000 and a 32^nd Degree Mason at New Castle Lodge #91.  Robert was a part-time Floridian and enjoyed time outdoors, hunting and fishing, but mostly, spending precious moments with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Baumgard) Weldon; and his siblings, Dick, Todd, Raymond, Lanny, Audrey, and Ruth.

Robert is survived by his children, Cheryl Russian, Terri Majors, Robert (Melissa) Weldon, Charles (Marleen) Weldon, and Walter (Dolores) Weldon; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Lillian Fluharty, Patricia Davis and Evelyn Maybray; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 4^th from 2-5PM at the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 Third Street, Beaver.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 5^th at 10AM.

Private interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to UPMC Children’s Hospital.
