Roman A. Filauri, 77, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Good Samaritan Hospice surrounded by his family
Born on February 16, 1945, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Roman R. and Iola Bertagna-Filauri.
Roman retired with over 30 years of service from Big Beaver Falls Area School District where he had been a science teacher. He enjoyed many years running the AV and biology clubs, and the Science Department. He also enjoyed Tiger sports working the football and basketball games, as well as, watching his children participate in sports. Roman was a diehard Penn State, Notre Dame and Steeler fan. Roman loved spending time with his family and the outdoors.
Roman is survived by his wife of 56 years, Teresa; children, Stephen-Joyce, Elizabeth, and Mark; brothers, Robert-Marilyn, Al-Julie, Mark-Julie, and sister, Leslie-Eddie; other extended family and lifelong friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church 116 Thorndale Drive, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 with Fr. John Naugle as Celebrant.
Private interment, will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Beaver Falls.
