Obituary

Ronald P. Smith, 69, of Patterson Township, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born on March 23, 1953, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of JoAnn (Masson) Smith and the late Ronald R. Smith.

Sweet R loved being surrounded by friends & family & practicing the art of fun. He made shorts fashionable in the winter, was a professional sunbather & an amateur gardener.

Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beth (Chiodo) Smith; three sons, Matthew (Jimmi Sue) Smith, Brian (Tiffany) Smith, and Adam Smith; five grandchildren whom he adored, Addison, Isaac, JR, Charlie Ann, and Bo; his aunt and uncle, Patty (Joe) Turconi; in-laws, Robyn Miller, Michael (Cathy) Chiodo, and Lisa (Chuck) Morrison, special friends, the Bitcko and Main Families; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Smith, and his sister, Toni Dhayer.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls, PA.

Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

    My sympathies to the loss of such a wonderful husband and father. Sorry I could not make it to the funeral home, however my prayers are with you all. He was a blessing.
