Ruth Louise Measel Elia Sovick

Ruth Louise Measel Elia Sovick, 94, a resident of Brighton Township for 45 years passed away Monday November 29 in the Belair  Health Care And Rehab Center, Lower Burrell. She was born April 8, 1927 in Rochester and was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Gordon Measel. Ruth had worked a number of places including Curtis Wright and the Beaver Valley Mall and was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers Clifford, Arthur (Bud), Oscar and Frank Measel and a sister Grace Measel Catanese. She is survived by a son Charles R. Elia and daughter Toni Elia Lorent with whom she had lived, grandson Ian Joseph (Emily) Boyd, great-granddaughters Layla and Elizabeth Boyd, brother Russell (Dorothea) Measel, Monaca, best friend Hattie Gitts, Monaca and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. At Ruth’s request there will be no services.
