  3. Dear Simon Family,

Our deepest sympathies to Lou, Trina, Tim & Shawn and family for your loss.

What a great family. So many memories to share living and growing-up in the best neighborhood.

Sandy always had the paper route money ready and waiting “with a tip” in an envelope every 2 weeks for 20 years. It was like clockwork as I watched her mark her calendar “paid”

So many great memories as the Simon’s invented sock ball (best game ever).

I’ll never forget the time that Shawn and Lenny froze the entire Warrencliffe Drive with a water hose so we could go sledding then Shawn built a ramp right in the middle of the road. We didn’t have to worry about the cars because they couldn’t get up the road. The fierce snowball fights especially against the other side of the neighborhood “the bums”. Shawn’s idea to stock-up snowballs in the massive fort he built.

Lou always had the Pirate game on via radio on the back porch.

I remember one time we were catching baseball in our yard and one got away and skipped across Simon’s driveway and broke the garage window. I went over and Sandy just said “oh, just go down to the hardware store and ask them to cut a piece of glass and fix it”. We did just that. A great neighborhood, great people.

One more, how can I forget sliding into home plate and breaking my collar bone (Simon’s front porch – intense wiffle ball game)!

    Cherish the memories!

God bless you and your families during this time, we will say a prayer for you.

Tom & Mary Callaghan & kids
