Stanley (Stush) Pournaras, of Beaver, is absent from the body and face to face with our Lord, Jesus Christ. On August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, Stush was blessed with eternal life, in Heaven, by the Grace of God, through his faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Born on September 19, 1953, in Sewickley, PA, Stush was the son of John and Susanne (Zakarian) Pournaras. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, and after his service to his country, Stush worked as a millwright at J&L Steel Corporation, Aliquippa, PA, and, also as a tax preparer at the John Pournaras Agency, Ambridge, PA. Stush loved music, especially big band and oldies.
He will be sadly missed by his loving children. Angelo Pournaras, Brooklyn, NY, Adam (Autumn) Pournaras, Beaver, PA, and Krista Pournaras, Rochester, PA; 7 grandchildren, Amelia, Brooklyn, NY, Kamryn, Braydon, Anthony, Sean, Beaver, PA, Aiden and Kylie, Rochester, PA, a brother, John Pournaras, Ambridge, PA, and his former wives, Sherry Cujas and Lynn Katekovich, both of Baden, PA.
In addition to his parents, Stush was preceded in death by infant twin sons, Anthony and Christopher Pournaras.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Stush’s daughter-in-law, Autumn Pournaras, for the impeccable care and love she gave him, as his nurse aide, for the last several years.
Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, in Stush’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
In accordance with Stush‘s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. The family will have a private celebration of life on his birthday on September 19th.

I remember Stush from when I was a teenager. He used to visit my father (Dennis Krasinski) and I in Harmony Towmship. He was a great guy and friend who will be missed
