Obituary

Steve Anuskewic, 41, of Enon Valley, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born November 13, 1979, he was the son of Dennis and Lucinda “Cindy” (Rankin) Anuskewic.

Steve was a graduate of Saint Clairsville Schools and Youngstown State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by HC Companies for several years where he was recently promoted to maintenance supervisor. He loved his job so very much and was excellent at it.

Steve was a thrill seeker and a skilled gamer.  He also was an avid collector of everything from sports cards to LEGO to comic books to trains and Dept. 56 Halloween Houses. He loved building LEGO with his wife & kids and enjoyed playing, and watching sports of all kinds, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  Steve was quick witted, big hearted, and loved his family & friends something fierce. He is a cherished soul, and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of nearly 9 years, Jamie (Widmer) Anuskewic; their children, Addilynn Durst and Sawyer Anuskewic; his brother, Dan (Hope) Anuskewic; his father and mother-in-law, David and Linda Widmer; two sisters-in-law, Tracy (Bryan) Pratte and Alexus (AJ) Sieger; two nieces, Mila and Aria Pratte; a nephew, Ezra Pratte; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lloyd Melvin and Mary Jane (Koonce) Rankin; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Nancy (Beam) Anuskewic.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and Saturday from 10am until time of services at 11am in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Township, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. Pastor Donna Doutt will officiate.
