Obituary

Sylvia A. (Minarik) Savilisky, 87, of Patterson Township, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2023, in the comfort of her home.

Born on May 23, 1936, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Melicher and Agnes Minarik.

Sylvia was an active member of the former St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, now St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish where she served on the Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed traveling and family camping trips, playing bingo, laying in the sun, and bowling in her earlier years at Sims Lanes.  Most of all, she cherished precious moments with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, James Savilisky, Jr.; and her daughters, Linda Savilisky and Julie Come.

She is survived by her sons, James Savilisky, III and Dan (Michele) Savilisky; a son-in-law, Mike Come; grandchildren, Megan Crusciel, Anthony Crusciel, Daniel Savilisky, Jr., Michael Savilisky, and Allison (Mike) Graw; great-grandchildren, Chloe Fraser, Logan Veitz, Haisley Crusciel, and Isla Graw; her sisters, Mildred Bauchman and Ann Canfora; a brother, Fred Minarik; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 20^th from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Thursday, December 21^st at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
