Obituary

William B. Valentine, 87, of Beaver passed away the morning of Wednesday March 13.

William was born July 20, 1925 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Bill and Gertrude Buchanan Valentine. He was also preceded by 2 brothers, Robert and Lewis Valentine. Bill was a WWII Navy veteran, a printer by trade with the News Tribune and a social member of the BPOE Elks and the Turners, both in Rochester.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife Dorothy Valentine, who was married to Bill for 59 amazing years. Also surviving are a son Robert (Vivian) Valentine, 2 daughters, Rebecca Valentine and Kelly (Fran) Higgins, 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Chad and Marissa, Whitlock J.T. Portman and Meghan and Shaun Higgins, who have nothing but fond memories of their Pappap, 4 great grandchildren and a sister Jeanne (Oliver) Bachmann.

Friends were received Friday 3 to 8 in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where a funeral service was conducted Saturday at 10 AM by Reverend Mark Boyd of the Park Presbyterian Church of Beaver. Entombment followed at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rochester.

The family suggests contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. They would also like to deeply thank Kim Tkacik and Good Samaritan Hospice for their kindness and support.
