Obituary
Winifred L. McFarland, 97, of Beaver Falls, died Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Providence Care Center.
Born January 15, 1924 in Springfield, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Toot) Whitmore. A member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers, Winifred was a delivery person for the Beaver County Times for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey McFarland; a daughter, Sandy Bailey; two brothers, William and Don Whitmore; and two sisters, Helen Sieber and Inez Brieter.
She is survived by three sons, James (Kay) McFarland, George (Debbie) McFarland, and David (Kathy) McFarland; three daughters, Susan McFarland-Irwin, Linda McFarland and Sherry McFarland; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Barry Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4pm until the time of a blessing service at 7pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa-www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Winifred’s name to either the Wounded Warrior Project- 600 River Ave. Suite 400, Pittsburgh PA 15212 or the Beaver County Cancer and Heart Assoc.- 3582 Brodhead Rd. # 201, Monaca PA 15061.

Aunt Winifred, You led a good, long life. The memories I have are mostly when I was younger and we spent the summers in Minnesota. i remember the card games, Harvey’s motor boat, the fishing and Johnny Cash. I will always have fond memories of our summers together!
