Shirley M. Buchholz, 88, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Westmoreland Hospital due to complications from COVID-19.
She was born on May 22, 1932 in Beaver Falls, and is the daughter of the late Albert and Magdeline (Sturm) Knight. Shirley was the co-owner of the former Buchholz Orchard in Chippewa. She was also a part of many organizations including the Eastern Star- Winona Chapter, the Penn State Ext. Board, PA Farmers Association, Beaver County Fruit and Vegetable Association, Beaver County Conservation District, and the Beaver Antique Club.
Shirley is preceded by her husband, Frank C. Buchholz; daughter, Gail Buchholz; and son-in-law, David Shanor.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Steve) Catanzarita, Karen Bequette, Denise (Ron) Eckman, and Carla (David) Helbling; grandchildren, Joseph Catanzarita, Kathryn (Kevin) Morrow, Jonathan Catanzarita, Greg (Emily Shingle) Bequette, CJ (Mary Ellen) Bequette, Brian (Michelle Reed) Shanor, Allen (Karen) Shanor, Madeline Helbling, Abigail Helbling and fiancé Jordan Bingman; as well as nine great-granchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 12:30 until time of service at 1:30 pm in the Gabauer- Lutton Funeral Home - Chippewa, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com. Pastor Tai Courtemanche will officiate.
Private entombment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
