Obituary

MaryLou Schwartz, 83, of Chippewa Township, died Tuesday, March 8 2016, in her residence after a long fight with ovarian cancer.Born August 12, 1932, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Omar Clyde and Ella (Waddington) Koah. She was a homemaker, a wonderful cook, and enjoyed family and family gatherings. MaryLou was a Steeler Fan, loved doing ceramics, taught vacation bible school and loved boating and fishing.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years James William Schwartz (February 20, 2016); her daughter, Phyllis Schwartz (1979); her son, James Schwartz, Jr. (2003); her son-in-law, James Shasteen (2001); and her brother Clyde Koah (2015).She is survived by her two loving daughters, Cheryl Shasteen and Carolyn (Daniel) Liberty, all of Chippewa Twp.; 10 grandchildren, Dr. James L. Shasteen, Jr., Mark (Angela) Shasteen, Jeremiah, Marian, Joshua and Jason Schwartz, and Michael, Stephen, Christian and Nicholas Liberty; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Tronzo of Beaver Falls and Betty Nesbitt of Zelienople.Friends will be received Friday from 10am until the time of service at 1pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa, www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.com. Pastor Jeff Seivers will officiate.Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
