Obituary

Just before sunrise on the morning of September 7, 2022, Brenda (Murray) McCune of Monaca, PA entered into eternal rest. Her beloved husband, Richard McCune, and cherished sister, Annette Murray, were by her side as God called her home.

Brenda was born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania on November 24, 1957 and led a life dedicated to Christ; she was balanced perfectly in kindness and strength and was the heart of her family. She was a member of Pathway Church and worked at Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA for over 25 years. She enjoyed family trips, collecting seashells with her grandchildren, exploring on her bike, and appreciated the beauty and peace God provided through both nature and design.

Her shocking stage four cancer diagnosis came in early 2021; she defied the odds for well over a year through the guidance and provision of the Lord, and her will for life, health, and recovery. Brenda lived by faith and not sight; and as her body grew tired of fighting, she had comfort knowing her home was with the Lord.

Brenda is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years, Richard McCune, sons Jesse [Darlene] McCune, Matthew [Tressa] McCune, and step-children Ross [Margaret] McCune and Elaine Castronovo. Her memory lives on in her parents Eugene and Clara Murray, along with her siblings David and Annette Murray. The love she shared will live on in her treasured grandchildren; Camille, Corinne, Sam, Jake, Keira, Hailey, Murray, Benjamin, Otto, and Cooper.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10AM until the time of memorial service at 11AM at Pathway Church, 239 Braun Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. A luncheon on-site is scheduled to follow.
