Obituary

Celia (Beck) Jewell, affectionately known as “Toots” 86, of Chippewa Twp., formerly of Brighton Township passed peacefully in the home of her daughter, Leslie Chaklos, where she resided the past eleven years.

Born on February 13, 1936, in Sewickley, the youngest child of the late William and Margaret Graham Beck.  She retired from Friendship Ridge with over 30 plus years of service.  She had resided in Brighton Township most of her life and attended Hope Lutheran Church.  She was a past member of Economy Women’s Club and Circle of Friends in Baden. She loved bingo, coffee, and taking senior trips.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester E. Jewell Jr. in 1986 and a son Randy David in 1984.  In addition she was preceded in death by two brothers James and William along with two sisters Marion Sergeant and Johannah Clawson.

Surviving are two sons Rick (Cheryl) Jewell St. Louis, MO., Scott Jewell Aliquippa; three daughters, Debra (Dale) Hoffman, Chippewa Twp., Leslie (Michael) Chaklos, Chippewa Twp., with whom she resided, Kimberly Hooley (Dave Brickner), New Brighton; six grandchildren, Nicole Burdine, Michelle Franitti, Kelley Garlick, Melissa Chaklos, Preston Hooley, Nathan Jewell; and six great-grandchildren.   One surviving brother Harold and (Carol) Beck Economy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing services at this time per the wishes of Celia.  Private interment with immediate family only in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
