Obituary

David “Hoopie” Martin, 63, of Center Township, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Heritage Valley Hospice Care.

Born on December 29, 1957, he was the son of the late Eugene and Alma Martin. David was a long-time member of the Ukrainian Club and Center VFW. He enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

David is survived by his daughter, Sadie (Joel) Carns, of Harrisburg; son, Dominic Martin, of Mechanicsburg; brother, Eugene (Nancy) Martin, of Georgia; sisters, Lavonda Gail (Francis) Collins of Florida and Debbie Harrison, of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews

As per David’s wishes, there will be no services. An internment will be private.

The family requests that any donations be made in David’s name to the American Cancer Society.
