James A. McGaffic, Sr.

James A. McGaffic, 84, of Raccoon Township passed away Wednesday August 20 in his home. He was born October 12, 1929 in East Liverpool, OH and was the son of the late Frank A. and Jessie Josephine Koerber McGaffic.

James was a machinist and had worked at Koppers and later Crucible from where he retired. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his Pirates.

Surviving him are his wife Violet A. Anderson McGaffic, a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Bonnie McGaffic, Raccoon Township, a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and John Kohut, Hopewell Township, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Linda McGaffic, Georgetown and Duane and Jean McGaffic, Beaver, and a sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Gary Jarrard, North Olmstead, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, James A. Jr. and Richard Lee McGaffic and a number of brothers and sisters.

Friends will received Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10 AM by Reverend Mark Boyd of the Park Presbyterian Church of Beaver.
