James M. Aspiotes, 71, of Ambridge, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Friendship Ridge, Brighton Twp.Born August 9, 1944, in Sewickley, a son of the late Michael and Lillie Aspiotes, he was a former employee of the Borough of Ambridge.Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Tiffany Aspiotes, and Michael and Melissa Aspiotes; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Jaime and Damon Bratton, Lisa Aspiotes, Sherry and Rick Thornhill, and Rachel Aspiotes; a stepdaughter, Amber Terrick; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Effie Zamigias and Josephine and John Mrkonja; 24 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was also survived by a best friend, Elisabeth Aspiotes.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Church St., Ambridge, www.gabauermatterfuneralhome.com. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 592 Beaver Road, Ambridge.Private interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
