John N. Close
Formerly of Center Township

John N. Close, 83, formerly of Center Twp., passed away Wednesday September
7, 2016 in the Fransican Manor Patterson Twp.

He was born September 28, 1932 in Rochester, PA. John was the son of the
late David Norman Close and Dorothy Park Close. He was employed over 40
years as an electrician with Nova Chemical, Monaca, a member and former Lay
Leader of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church, past president of ARCO
Credit Union, past secretary and treasurer of OCAW local 8183. He loved
camping and was a member of Coyote Campers. John loved golf, fishing,
working on the farm, and was a collector of John Deere memorabilia.

He is survived by two sons, four grandaughters, and nine great
grandchildren; Son Bruce D. Close and wife Katie, twin granddaughters Angie
and Nick Breckenridge of Ellwood City, and Christie and Michael Golixer, New
Brighton, great grandchildren, Rain, Cooper, Serenity Lambert, Amelia
Breckenridge, Bailey and Malerie Maybray, and Stephen Golixer, Son Jay Close
and wife Kim of Racoon twp., grandchildren Amanda Close, Stacy and Sean
Kelly, Center Twp., great grandsons, Bryson Downey, and Conner Kelly.

Friends will be received Friday from 2-8 pm. in the Todd Funeral Home, 340
Third Street, Beaver, where a service will be conducted Saturday at 10 am.
with his Pastor Harriett Hutton officiating. Interment will be in Sylvania
Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
