Obituary

Mary Margaret “Margie” Stoker, 76, of Patterson Township, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Heritage Valley-Beaver.

Born October 17, 1944 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Bickar) Nix. Margie was the cafeteria manager at Baldwin Whitehall school district, and then went on to be the food service director for the Lakeview school district in Sandy Lake, PA. She was the last serving President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Baldwin Independent Fire Company #1. A woman of strong faith, she loved her Chippewa United Methodist Church family, where she served in over 13 ministries. Margie served as a member of the leadership team for Mountain Ministries.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Alvin Stoker Jr.; her wonderful son, Todd A. Stoker and his wife Sue; her beautiful daughter Sheri Kauffman and her husband Bill; four grandsons, Matthew, Tyler, and Kyle Hennig and Brian Stoker; one great-grandchild and one on the way; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister Marilyn Fields; a sister-in-law and her husband, Judy and Chuck Balkey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will surely be missed by her two best friends, Debbie Simeone and Ruthann Webb.  

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
