Obituary

Nancy C. Young, 80, formerly of Chippewa Twp. and East Palestine, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Elmcroft of Chippewa on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Born on May 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Grayn F. and Anna L. (Mortenson) Denny. 

Nancy was a bus driver and tour guide for Blair E. Ferguson and later McCarter Coach & Tour.  She retired with nearly 44 years of faithful service.  In her spare time, Nancy loved to keep busy by working outdoors, cutting grass, and gardening.  She was fond of family gatherings, family vacations, and loved playing cards every Saturday night with her friends and husband, Tom.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas W. Young, Jr.; her children, Donald (Gwen) Young and Susan (Larry) Daugherty; grandchildren, Jared Young, Joshua (Lindsey) Young, and Allison Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Riley Popps, and Cole, Rowan, and Adora Young; and her brother, Paul Denny.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Dianne Martin.

The Young family would like to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the staff at Elmcroft of Chippewa as well as Gateway Hospice for their compassionate care given to Nancy.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, all services were private.
