Obituary
Olive M. Weigel, 97, formerly of Darlington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Windsor House at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center, Columbiana, OH.
Born on May 30, 1925, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy (Smith) Myers.
Olive had worked for many years as a sales consultant for Allan Jewelers and was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Weigel; a son, Dale “Butch” Weigel; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Eugene Myers, and a son-in-law, Mark Ward.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Ward, Timothy (Darlene) Weigel, and Alan (Janet) Weigel; daughter-in-law, Deborah Weigel; her sister, Beverly Kelly; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Olive’s wishes for cremation will be honored and no services are being planned at this time.
The GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Township, is honored to be assisting Olive’s family during this time.

So very sorry to hear of Olives passing. I really enjoyed seeing her and Dale when they would come into the Enon Inn for dinner. She was such a lovely lady.

Dear Weigel family-
I was saddened to read of your mom’s passing. As Susan said above, she was definitely a lovely lady. My mom enjoyed visiting with her from time to time as they got older. Weren’t we blessed to have such awesome moms?
