Robert D. Leavengood, Age 90, died on Monday, February 8, 2016 in Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon.Born August 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Worth D. (Gertrude) Spahman Leavengood. Robert served in the Central Pacific (VMF) 311 Unit of the U.S. Marines Corps during World War II.He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn (Gabauer) Leavengood; his children, Robert W. (Linda) Leavengood of Camano Island, WA, Jane Leavengood (Nick) Hughes of Northport, NY and Gary D. (Deborah) Leavengood of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Grace L. Gabauer in 2014.Friends will be received Friday from 11:30am until the time of service at 1:30pm in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home- 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa PA 15010 www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.com.
